WHAT ARE LOOKS?
Looks are considered one outfit change. We don't shoot multiple outfits for each look. Please contact me directly prior to the shoot if you are unsure.
DO I NEED A CONSULTATION BEFORE THE SHOOT?
This is entirely up to you. After viewing our very thorough website, seeing how we shoot, capturing energy from different people, you should have a good idea of whether I am the right photographer for you.
Once you have thought about what your image needs are to enhance your marketability (if you have representation, please be on the same page as your agents), you should choose a photographer whose work reflects your desired outcome. Keep in mind that I am a photographer whose creative artistry and job is to frame a good picture, use good lighting, capture an essence and make you feel comfortable to bring that essence forth. That being said, I understand that this is a big investment in your career and I am here to help you take it to the next level. I, or my assistant will be more than happy to meet or have a phone consultation with you prior to the shoot, answer all of your questions and ease any concerns you may have.
WHAT ABOUT MY HAIR?
All of our make up artists ask our clients to come hair-ready. They will help you fine-tune your hair, watch for fly-a-ways etc but they do not do hair.
DO I NEED A MAKE-UP ARTIST?
If you are a woman, I highly recommend you using one of our talented and very skilled make up artists.
Even the most natural look needs make up and a professional who knows how to apply it for camera and the lighting. I am not opposed to you hiring your own make up artist or doing your own, however, from past experience, that rarely looks as good as what my make up artists accomplish.
DO YOU SHOOT INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
I have an all-natural light studio, which gives you the benefit of both worlds. It is an industrial space with a lot of character and numerous backgrounds.
It also has a bathroom, changing area, and make up station. We also have a great sound system, so bring your playlist.
Keep in mind that for fashion shots, we may go on location.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO VIEW MY SHOTS?
Your shots will be uploaded usually within 48 hours (2 business days).
WILL I HAVE A GOOD TIME?
The best and most frequent compliment I receive is "Wow, for the first time I actually had fun, felt relaxed, and got shots that represent me".
That compliment never gets old and this is what I strive to do daily.
Headshots are not rocket science. You bring your game and I will bring mine, and together we will get great shots that will get you work.
Imagine you spend your time preparing to be an actor. You take class, many classes to train to learn and to develop into the best you can possibly be. Over the years you hone your craft with an internal passion that sometimes only you can understand.
In the beginning you are willing to do any job that comes your way just for the experience and most of the time for free.
You build a strong resume, have a great reel and most importantly, experience in the business of your chosen field.
Then, you book a really great job. You go to the set, do your job professionally and beautiful knowing that the work you produced will lead to many future jobs.
At the end of the day, the producers come up to you and solidify your confidence with compliments and praise. And then one of them takes you aside and says,"Wow, what an amazing job. Thank you for your talent and quality of work. Is there anyway that we could pay you less than your worth?".
Bittersweet, right? Takes the excitement down a notch, right?
So, please, I ask of you, "Don't make me take it down a notch. It's important to KNOW YOUR WORTH in this town.
Thank you for understanding.
DO YOU DO RESHOOTS?
We do not do reshoots. Since we shoot digital and you get to view your shots as we go, you get a good idea if we are capturing what you need. I always ask my clients be upfront and honest with me and I feel as if I create a relaxed enough environment for you to speak up if you feel at any point, we are not getting the desired shots. This is also why it is important to do your research on your marketability or discuss with your representation prior to the shoot on how they market you etc.
